Seat Back Recliner Replacement

1998-2000 Chevrolet and GMC S/T Models
1998-2000 Oldsmobile Bravada

This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that when replacing either the driver or passenger seat back recliner assembly on the above listed vehicles, do not reuse the screw that attaches the recliner handle to the recliner shaft.

Discard the old screw and replace with a new screw, P/N 88898909. This new screw is shorter in length. Use of the original screw may weaken the shaft which, over time, could cause it to break resulting in the recliner having to be replaced again.
