Brake Caliper Inspection

After removing the brake caliper assembly from the vehicle, perform the following inspection procedure:
^ Inspect the inside of the caliper assembly for signs of brake fluid leakage. If you find leakage, overhaul the caliper assembly.
^ Inspect the dust boot for damage. If you find damage, replace the boot.
^ Inspect the casting for damage. If you find damage, replace the caliper.
^ Inspect the mounting bolts and sleeves for damage or corrosion. Replace the damaged or corroded bolts and sleeves. Do not attempt to polish away the corrosion.
