Wheel Hub Bolt Replacement

FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS/HUB

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J 6627-A Tie Rod Puller





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.
2. Remove the tire and the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.

NOTICE: Support the caliper with a piece of wire to prevent damage to the brake line.

3. Remove the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement in Disc Brakes.

IMPORTANT: Do not hammer on a wheel bolt.

4. Remove the hub bolt using the J 6627-A.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the hub bolt to the hub and bearing assembly.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install four washers and the nut to the bolt.
2.1 Tighten the nut. Draw in the bolt.
2.2 Remove the nut and the washers.

3. Install the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement in Disc Brakes.
4. Install the tire and the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
5. Lower the vehicle.
