Brake Hose Replacement - Front
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the front tires and wheels from the vehicle.
IMPORTANT: Clean dirt, grease, and other foreign material from the hose fittings at both ends of the brake hose before servicing brake components.
2. Disconnect the front brake pipe from the brake hose.
3. Remove the retaining nut and retaining clip from the front brake hose.
4. Remove the retaining bolt and the bracket of the front brake hose from the upper control arm.
5. Remove the front brake caliper retaining bolt from the front brake hose.
6. Remove the front brake hose gaskets.
7. Remove the front brake hose from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install new gaskets to the front brake hose.
2. Install the front brake hose to the vehicle.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the retaining bolt of the front brake hose to the front brake caliper.
^ Tighten the retaining bolt of the front brake hose to the front brake caliper to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the retaining bolt and bracket of the front brake hose to the upper control arm.
^ Tighten the retaining bolt of the front brake hose bracket to the upper control arm to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the retaining nut and retaining clip to the front brake hose.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the brake hose is not twisted. Make sure the brake hose is not in contact with any suspension components.
6. Connect the front brake pipe to the front brake hose.
^ Tighten the front brake pipe to the front brake hose to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
7. Bleed the brake hydraulic system.
8. Install the tires and wheels on the vehicle.
