54. Intake Manifold Disassemble - Upper with RPO 9C2

1. Remove the ignition coil bolt and stud.





2. Remove the ignition coil.





3. Remove the throttle body nuts.





4. Remove the throttle position bracket for the govener.





5. Remove the throttle body.





6. Remove the throttle body gasket.
7. Remove the throttle body studs, if required.

Important: Note the position of the EGR valve before removal. It is possible to improperly install the EGR valve 180 degrees from the original position.

8. Remove the EGR valve bolts.

Notice: The Linear EGR valve is an electrical component. DO NOT soak in any liquid cleaner or solvent because damage may result.





9. Remove the EGR valve.
10. Remove the EGR gasket.
11. Remove the EVAP purge valve bolts.





12. Remove the EVAP purge valve.





13. Remove the secondary air injection check valve bracket stud (without RPO K19), if required.





14. Remove the ECT wiring harness connector bracket bolt and ECT wiring harness connector bracket, if required.





15. Remove the accelerator control cable bracket bolts and accelerator control cable bracket, if required.
