Rear Axle - Final Assembly

1. Install the gasket to the axle cover. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the axle cover to the axle with the bolts.
Tighten the axle cover bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Fill the axle with oil. Refer to Lubrication Specifications.
4. Install the fill plug to the case.
Tighten the fill plug to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
