Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing & Jacket - Assemble

Assembly Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Attach the steering column support assembly (2) to the steering column jacket assembly (1) with 4 TORX(R) head screws (1).
- Tighten the 4 TORX(R) screws to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).





2. Install the steering shaft (1).
3. Install the adapter and bearing assembly (2).
4. Install the steering column seal (3).
5. Install the turn signal. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift).Service and Repair
6. Install the lock module assembly. Refer to Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift).Service and Repair
