Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Tools Required
- J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor





1. Remove the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil -Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift).Service and Repair
2. Remove the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR.





3. Remove the shaft lock shield assembly (1).
4. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
5. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
6. Remove the thrust washer (4)
