Lubricate
    Steering and Suspension
      Lubricate chassis components (or every 12 months whichever occurs first). Lubricate the front suspension, ball joints, steering linkage, transmission shift linkage, transfer case shift linkage, parking brake cable guides, rear driveline center splines. Ball joints should not be lubricated unless their temperature is -12 degrees C (10 degrees F) or higher or they could be damaged.
Inspect
    Heat Shield, Exhaust
      Vehicles over 8,500 lbs. GVWR only, inspect shields and underhood insulation For damage or looseness. Adjust or replace as required.
    Fuel Tank
      Inspect the fuel tanks, cap and lines for damage or leaks. Inspect the fuel cap gasket for any damage. Replace parts as needed.
    Fluid - Differential
      3500 HD models only; Change axle fluid if the vehicle is driven in extreme overload, trailer towing and or high speed (above 40 mph or 70 km/h) conditions for extended periods of time. Inspect rear axle fluid level and add fluid as needed.
    Exhaust Gas Recirculation
    Evaporative Emissions System
      Inspect all the fuel and vapor lines and the hoses for proper hook-up, routing and condition. Ensure that the purge valve works properly, if equipped. Replace the components as needed.
    Drive Belt
    Brakes and Traction Control
Replace
    Oil Filter, Engine
      Or every 12 months, whichever occurs first.
    Fuel Filter
    Engine Oil
      Or every 12 months, whichever occurs first.
Clean/Repack
    Wheel Bearing
      2WD only: Clean and repack the front wheel bearings (or at each brake relining whichever occurs first).
Rotate
    Tires
