Lock Replacement - Rear Door
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Disconnect the inside door handle and lock control rods.
4. Removing the outside door handle by completing the appropriate step:
^ On the Crew Cab vehicles, unsnap the threaded clip in order to remove the outside door handle.
^ On the 4-door Yukon/Tahoe vehicles, push in the clip in order to remove the outside door handle.
5. Disconnect the power door lock connector.
6. Remove the lock assembly bolts.
7. Remove the lock assembly from the vehicle.
8. On utility vehicles, remove the child security lock from the lock assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the lock assembly to the vehicle.
2. On utility vehicles, install the child security lock to the lock assembly.
3. Install the lock assembly bolts.
4. Connect the power lock connector.
5. Install the outside door handle by completing the appropriate step:
^ On the Crew Cab vehicles, snap the threaded clip in order to install the outside door handle.
^ On the 4-door Yukon/Tahoe vehicles, push in the clip in order to install the outside door handle.
6. Install the water deflector.
7. Install the trim panel.
