Removal Procedure





1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Restraint Systems.
3. Remove the horn contact from the steering column.
4. Remove the four TORX(R) head screws from the two contact plates.
5. Remove the two contact plates from the steering column.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the two contact plates to the steering column.
2. Install the four TORX(R) head screws in order to secure the two contact plates to the steering column.
3. Install the horn contact to the steering column.
4. Install the inflator module to the steering wheel. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Restraint Systems.
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
