Heater System Description

The heater system provides the following functions:

* Heating
* Ram air and power ventilation
* Windshield defrosting

The blower fan draws outside air from the plenum at the base of the windshield into the heater module. Forward movement of the vehicle forces ram air into the heater module. The air heats in the heater module and is then routed through ducts to the proper outlets for discharge into the passenger compartment.

A control assembly in the instrument panel allows the operator to control the following:

* Blower speed
* Mode of operation
* The temperature of the air coming from the heater system

Components contained in the heater module heat the air flowing through the heater module. These components direct the air to the proper ducts and outlets.
