Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

The DRL module board is enclosed in a plastic case with an integral wiring harness.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.




3. In order to remove the DRL control module, perform the following steps:

1. Cut the tie strap.
2. Open the case and remove the module board.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the DRL control module.
2. Install a tie strap or use tape in order to hold the module assembly in place.
3. Install the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
