Fuel Tank Draining

Caution: Refer to On-Vehicle Fire Extinguisher Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Caution: Do not drain the fuel into an open container. Never store the fuel in an open container due to the possibility of a fire or an explosion.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Using a hand operated pump, drain as much fuel as possible through the filler neck. Remove the fuel.
3. Reinstall the filler cap.
