Coolant Level Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
Caution: Before removing the low coolant probe, make sure the engine is cold and the pressure in the cooling system has been released. When removing the low coolant probe from the surge tank, use a drain pan to catch the fluid loss. Hot coolant can cause severe burns and personal injury.
2. Remove the sensor (2) from the radiator.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Insert the NEW sensor into the radiator.
Tighten the sensor to 12.5 Nm (111 lb in).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
3. Refill the engine coolant to the proper level. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations [1][2]Fluid Type Specifications in Maintenance and Lubrication.
