Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the wiring harness from the backup lamp switch.
The backup lamp switch is located on the top center of the transmission.
3. Remove the backup lamp switch from the transmission case.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the backup lamp switch to the transmission case.
The backup lamp switch should have pre-applied thread sealant on the threads.

Tighten the backup lamp switch to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).

2. Install the wiring harness connector to the backup lamp switch.
3. Lower the vehicle.
