Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid

Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid

Important:
* When adding fluid or making a fluid change, always use the proper power steering fluid. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations [1][2]Fluid Type Specifications in Maintenance and Lubrication.

* The fluid should be between the upper level indicator line and the lower indicator line with the power steering fluid warmed up to 77°C (170°F) or hot to the touch. The fluid level should be at or just below the lower indicator line if the fluid level is cool, about 21°C (70°F).

* Check the marks on the fluid level indicator integrated with the reservoir cap or the sight glass if equipped with a remote reservoir in order to determine fluid level.
