Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow/intake Air Temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor assembly harness connector.




3. Separate the MAF/IAT sensor assembly and the air inlet tube by loosening the hose clamp.




4. Remove the air cleaner tube by pulling upward until the mounting studs are free from the assembly grommets.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the air cleaner assembly by pressing downward on the assembly until the grommets are seated.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




2. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor assembly and the air inlet tube by tightening the hose clamp.

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 4 N.m (35 lb in.).




3. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor assembly harness connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
