Battery Tray Replacement (Right Battery)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the surge tank nuts.






4. Remove the battery tray nuts.
5. Remove the battery tray bolts.
6. Remove the battery tray.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the battery tray.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions






2. Install the battery tray bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the battery tray nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the surge tank nuts.
5. Install the battery.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
