Oil Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Place a container under the drain plug in order to catch the oil.
3. Remove the fill plug.
4. Remove the drain plug. Allow the oil to drain.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the drain plug.
Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the transfer case oil. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid.
3. Fill the transfer case until the oil level is at the bottom of the oil fill plug hole.
4. Install the fill plug.
Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle.
