Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Tools Required
- J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture





1. Remove the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil -Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift).- With Tilt Column
2. Remove the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR.





3. Remove the shaft lock shield assembly (1).
4. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
5. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
6. Remove the upper bearing inner race (4).
7. Remove the inner race (5).
