Stabilizer Link: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Remove the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft link insulator.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt from the lower control arm.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft link spacer.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt and stabilizer shaft insulator from the stabilizer shaft.
8. Inspect all of the parts for wear or damage.


Installation Procedure





1. Install the stabilizer shaft link insulator to the stabilizer shaft link bolt.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft link bolt through the stabilizer shaft.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft link spacer.
4. Install the stabilizer shaft link bolt through the lower control arm with the parts stacked properly.
5. Install the stabilizer shaft link insulator.
6. Install the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut.
^ Tighten the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut to 15 Nm (111 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
8. Lower the vehicle.
