Sliding Door Lock Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the lock rod from the lock assembly to the lock control.
3. Remove the lock rod from the lock cylinder to the lock control.
4. Remove the lock rod from the outside handle to the lock control.
5. Remove the lock control bolts (2).




6. Remove the lock control (1) from the door.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock control (1) to the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the lock control bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to the lock control to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the lock rod to the outside handle from the lock control.
Ensure that the rod is positioned correctly in the adjustable rod clip.
4. Install the lock rod to the lock cylinder from the lock control.
5. Install the lock rods to the lock assembly from the lock control.
Ensure that the rod is positioned correctly in the adjustable rod clip.
6. Install the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
