Evaporator Tube Replacement - Auxiliary Rear
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the auxiliary evaporator rear outlet tube from the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tubes.
4. Remove the auxiliary evaporator rear inlet tube from the auxiliary evaporator inlet side tubes.
5. Remove the bolts that retain the clips on the tubes to the body.
6. Remove the nut that retains the tube to the auxiliary evaporator module.
7. Remove the tube from the auxiliary evaporator module.
8. Remove the seal washers.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the seal washers.
2. Install the tube to the auxiliary evaporator module.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the nut that retains the tube to the auxiliary evaporator module.
Tighten
Tighten the nut that retains the tube to the auxiliary evaporator module to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
4. Install the bolts that retain the clips on the tubes to the body.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts that retain the clips on the tubes to the body to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
5. Install the auxiliary evaporator rear tube inlet tube to the auxiliary evaporator inlet side tube.
Tighten
Tighten the auxiliary evaporator rear tube inlet tube to the auxiliary evaporator inlet side tube to 27.5 N.m (20 lb ft).
6. Install the auxiliary evaporator rear tube outlet tube to the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube.
Tighten
Tighten the auxiliary evaporator rear tube outlet tube to the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair
9. Ensure that no leaks exist in the system. Refer to Leak Testing. Leak Testing
