Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the [1][2]EVAP hoses from the canister.
3. Mark the hoses for installation on the new canister.




4. Remove the screw from the mounting bracket.




5. Remove the canister.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP canister.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




2. Install the bracket screw.

Tighten
Tighten the mounting screw to 6 N.m (53 lb in).




3. Install the [1][2]EVAP hoses to the canister.
