Steering Column Jacket - Assemble

Assembly Procedure

Tools Required
- J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor





1. Install the following parts onto the steering shaft assembly:
2. The thrust washer (1).
3. The upper bearing spring (2).
4. Lubricate the turn signal cancel cam assembly (3).
5. The turn signal cancel cam assembly (3).
6. Install the shaft lock shield assembly (4).





7. Install the bearing retainer (1) using J 23653-SM.
8. Install the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
