Rear Bumper Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle with suitable safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) in General Information.
2. Remove the brace to frame bolts.
3. Remove the bracket to frame bolts.
4. Remove the bumper from the vehicle.
5. Remove the brace to bumper nuts.
6. Remove the bracket to bumper bolts and nuts.
7. Remove the bracket from the bumper.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the bracket to the bumper.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the bracket to bumper bolts and nuts.
Tighten the bracket to bumper bolts and nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
3. Install the brace to the bumper.
4. Install the brace to bumper nuts.
Tighten the brace to bumper nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
5. Install the bumper to the vehicle.
6. Install the bracket to frame bolts and nuts.
Tighten the bracket to frame bolts and nuts to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
7. Install the brace to frame bolts.
Tighten the brace to frame bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
8. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) in General Information .
