Air Cleaner Element Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Loosen the upper air intake duct clamps.
2. Remove the upper air intake duct.




3. Unfasten the clips by holding the air cleaner cover to the housing.




4. Remove the air cleaner element.
^ Inspect the air cleaner element for damage or excessive dirt accumulation. Replace the filter if necessary.
^ Inspect the air inlet elbow for damage or cracks. Replace if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the air cleaner element.




2. Install the air cleaner cover to the housing and fasten the clips into place.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Connect the upper air intake duct clamp.

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 4 N.m (40 lb in).
