Recall 01V080000: (LPG Version) Possible Backfire

Vehicle Description: Medium duty C Series vehicles equipped with an IMPCO liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) conversion kit. Some of these vehicles exhibit a condition in which the engine could backfire and fracture the plastic inlet elbow within the engine compartment. If this were to occur, and the hood of the vehicle were open, plastic fragments from the elbow could cause injury to people in the immediate area. In addition, the vehicle will stop running due to inadequate fuel supply. Dealers will replace the induction system elbow. GM has not yet provided NHTSA with an owner notification schedule.
