Wiper Motor Replacement - Rear

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the wiper arm.
2. Remove the nut and spacer from the wiper motor shaft.
3. Remove the interior trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Lower) or Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Upper) in Trunk/Liftgate.
4. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
5. Remove the two screws.
6. Remove the wiper motor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the wiper motor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the two screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 19 N.m (14 lb ft).

3. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
4. Install the interior trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Lower) or Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Upper) in Trunk/Liftgate.
5. Install the spacer and the nut on the wiper motor drive shaft.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

6. Install the wiper arm.
