Brake

The brake indicator illuminates in the IPC when the following occurs:
^ When the park brake is engaged and the engine is ON, the park brake switch (signal is low) activates the brake indicator.
^ The brake pressure differential switch detects an excessive difference in pressure between the front brakes and the rear brakes.
^ The EBCM detects a malfunction that will prevent it from illuminating the ABS indicator.
^ As a bulb check by the ignition switch when cranking the engine on vehicles equipped with Daytime Running Lamps (DRL).
