Security

The vehicle theft deterrent module illuminates the SECURITY indicator in the IPC. The vehicle theft deterrent module via the security indicator control circuit illuminates the indicator by grounding. The module monitors and relies on the passlock sensor signal to illuminate the indicator. The VTD system uses the indicator as a malfunction indicator. If the security indicator flashes or stays ON continuously during vehicle operation, refer to the system diagnosis.
