Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge

The IPC displays the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) based on information from the ECT sensor. The ECT sensor signal circuit is hard-wired to the IPC. A coolant temperature sensor resistance of approximately 1305 Ohm will indicate a gauge temperature of about 40°(104°F) and 61.9 Ohm sensor resistance will indicate approximately 118°C (245°F).

The IPC illuminates the check gauges indicator when the engine coolant temperature is outside the normal operating range.
