Shift Lever - Off Vehicle
Disassemble




1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Slide the shift lever seal (2) up the shift lever (4).
3. Remove the shift lever screw (3).
4. Remove the shift lever (4).
5. Remove the shift lever seal (2) from the shift lever (4).

Assemble





1. Install the shift lever seal (2) onto the shift lever (4).
2. Install the shift lever (4) and secure it with a shift lever screw (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

- Tighten the screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).
3. The shift lever seal must be seated in the trim covers.
4. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
