Air Temperature Door Replacement (C60)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
3. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment.
4. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Heater/Vent Module Replacement (I).
5. Remove the screws from the HVAC module case cover (10) from the HVAC module.
6. Remove the HVAC module case cover (10).
7. Separate the module halves.
8. Remove the air temperature actuator (6) from the door (17). Refer to Air Temperature Actuator Replacement.
9. Remove the air temperature door (17) from blower motor case (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the air temperature door (17) to blower motor case (1).
2. Connect the air temperature actuator (6) to the door (17). Refer to Air Temperature Actuator Replacement.
3. Install the module halves.
4. Install the HVAC module case cover.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the screws to the HVAC module case cover.
Tighten
Tighten the HVAC module case cover screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
6. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Heater/Vent Module Replacement (I).
7. Install the instrument panel storage compartment.
8. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system.
9. Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
