Charging System

The charging system indicator illuminates in the IPC when the following occurs:
^ The PCM detects that the generator output is less than 11 volts or greater than 16 volts. The PCM via the charge indicator control circuit will illuminate the indicator by grounding the charge indicator control circuit.
^ The ignition is on, with the engine off. The indicator will remain on until the engine is running and the generator output will turn it off
