Ignition & Key Alarm Switch
Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift)
1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Pop the wire harness assembly (4) out of the wire harness strap (5).
3. Remove the wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4).
4. Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the steering column support assembly (1).
5. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly out from the bulk head connector (1).
6. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2).
7. Remove the 2 tapping screws from the ignition key alarm switch assembly (3).
Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Shift)
1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Pop the wire harness assembly (4) out of the wire harness strap (5).
3. Remove the wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4).
4. Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the steering column support assembly (1).
5. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly out from the bulk head connector (1).
6. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2).
7. Remove the 2 tapping screws from the ignition key alarm switch assembly (3).
Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift)
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3) onto the electronic lock module assembly (2) and secure by using the 2 tapping screws.
- Tighten the screws to 4.7 Nm (42 inch lbs.).
2. Install the key alarm connector (1) onto the electronic lock module assembly (2).
3. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly into the bulk head connector (1).
4. Pop the wire harness assembly (4) into the wire harness (5).
5. Install the wire harness strap (2) into the steering column support assembly (1).
6. Install the wire harness straps (3) onto the wire harness assembly (4).
7. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor-Shift)
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3) onto the electronic lock module assembly (2) and secure by using the 2 tapping screws.
- Tighten the screws to 4.7 Nm (42 inch lbs.).
2. Install the key alarm connector (1) onto the electronic lock module assembly (2).
3. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly into the bulk head connector (1).
4. Pop the wire harness assembly (4) into the wire harness strap (5).
5. Install the wire harness strap (2) into the steering column support assembly (1).
6. Install the wire harness straps (3) onto the wire harness assembly (4).
7. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
