Tie Rod Arm Replacement

Tie Rod Arm Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Remove the outer tie rod. Refer to Tie Rod Replacement- Outer.
4. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Front in Brakes and Traction Control.
5. Remove the bolts (2) and nuts retaining the tie rod arm (1).
6. Remove the tie rod arm from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the tie rod arm (1) to the vehicle.
- Tighten the tie rod arm retaining bolts (2) and nuts to 285 Nm (210 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle. Refer to Tie Rod Replacement - Outer.
3. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Front in Brakes and Traction Control.
4. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
5. Lower the vehicle.
