Front Bumper Replacement (Base)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the grille.




2. Remove the bolts and washers that attach the bumper to the brace.
3. Remove the bolts and washers that attach the bumper to the bracket.




4. Remove the bumper from the vehicle.
5. Remove the guards (6, 7) from the bumper, if equipped.
6. Remove the air deflector (8) from the bumper, if equipped.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the air deflector to the bumper.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the guards (6, 7) to the bumper with the nuts, if equipped.

Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the bumper to the vehicle.




4. Install the bumper bolts and the washers to the bracket.
5. Install the bumper bolts and the washers to the brace.
6. Align the bumper laterally to the grille area.

Tighten the bumper to the bracket and the brace bolts to 112 N.m (83 lb ft).
