Recirculation Door Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
2. Remove the hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement Service and Repair in Engine Controls - 8.1L.
4. Remove the blower motor cover (4).
5. Remove the blower motor (3). Refer to Blower Motor Replacement Blower Motor Replacement.
6. Roll back the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement Service and Repair in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
7. Remove the recirculation actuator screws.
8. Remove the recirculation actuator (19).
9. Remove the clips holding the air distribution case to the heater case.
10. Lift the blower motor case (1) from the heater case (8) and remove from the vehicle.
11. Remove the recirculation door from the module case.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the recirculation door into the module case.
2. Install the blower motor case (1) into the vehicle and lower onto the heater case (8).
3. Remove the clips holding the air distribution case to the heater case.
4. Install the recirculation actuator (19).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
5. Install the recirculation actuator screws.
Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
6. Roll forward the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement Service and Repair in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
7. Install the blower motor (3). Refer to Blower Motor Replacement Blower Motor Replacement.
8. Install the blower motor cover (4).
9. Install the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement Service and Repair in Engine Controls - 8.1L.
10. Install the hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair in Interior Trim.
11. Connect the electrical connectors.
