Fuel Strainer Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement.
2. Note the position of the fuel strainer (3) on the fuel sender.
3. Support the fuel sender assembly with one hand and grasp the strainer (3) with the other hand.
4. Pull the strainer off the fuel sender and discard.

Installation Procedure




1. Install a new fuel strainer (3) in the same position as noted during disassembly.
2. Push the strainer on the bottom of the fuel sender until the strainer is fully seated.
3. Install the fuel sender assembly in the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement.
