Air Suspension Seat Replacement
Removal Procedure
In order to repair or replace the National air suspension seat components, refer to the manufacturer's literature accompanying the vehicle at the time of purchase.
1. Drain all air reservoirs. Refer to Draining Reservoirs .
2. Remove the air line from the elbow or from the tee.
3. Remove the seat belt bracket bolt.
4. Remove the bracket nut and washer, if equipped.
5. Remove the seat belt from the buckle side bolt.
6. Remove the seat belt buckle side from the buckle side of the vehicle.
7. Remove the air suspension seat bolts. DISCARD the air suspension seat bolts.
8. Remove the air suspension seat from the vehicle.
9. Remove the seat bolt sealers. DISCARD the seat bolt sealers.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the NEW seat bolt sealers.
2. Install the air suspension seat in the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
3. Install the NEW air suspension seat bolts.
Tighten the air suspension bolts to 55 Nm (41 lb ft).
4. Install the seat belt bracket bolt.
5. Install the seat belt bracket nut and washer, if equipped.
6. Install the seat belt on the buckle side of the vehicle.
7. Install the seat belt to the buckle side bolt.
* Tighten the high back seat belt bracket bolt to 90 Nm (66 lb ft).
* Tighten the low back seat belt bracket bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).
8. Install the air line to the elbow or the tee.
9. Start the engine and charge the air system to the air compressor governor valve cut-out point. Refer to Filling Reservoirs .
