Mode Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the floor air outlet (12). Refer to Floor Air Outlet Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Remove the mode actuator screws.
3. Remove the mode actuator (13).
4. Remove the clips holding the air distribution case halves together.
5. Separate the air distribution case from the heater case.
6. Tilt the lower half of the heater case down in order to expose the mode door.
7. Remove the mode door (14) from the case.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the mode door (14) to the case.
2. Tilt the lower half of the heater case up.
3. Install the air distribution case to the heater case.
4. Install the clips in order to hold the air distribution case halves together.
5. Install the mode actuator (13).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the mode actuator screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

7. Install the floor air outlet (12). Refer to Floor Air Outlet Replacement Service and Repair.
