Equalizing Beam End Bushing Replacement
Tools Required
* J 42364 End Bushing Installer
* J 42116 Bushing Remover and Installer
Removal Procedure
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Block the front and the rear wheels.
3. Place a suitable lifting device under the frame to be serviced.
4. Remove the dual wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Single) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Single)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Dual) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Dual)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Single) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Single)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Dual) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Dual).
5. Remove the equalizing beam from the vehicle. Refer to Equalizing Beam Replacement Equalizing Beam Replacement.
6. Using the correct tool from set J 42116 remove the old equalizing beam end bushing.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the new end bushing in the equalizing beam in order to align the mounting holes of the end bushing with the center bushing.
2. Install the new end bushing using the J 42364 and the J 42116 .
3. Install the equalizing beam.
4. Install the dual wheel assembly. Refer Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Single) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Single)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Dual) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Disc Type - Dual)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Single) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Single)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Dual) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Cast Type - Dual).
5. Remove the blocks from the wheels.
