Door Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.
1. Roll the window all the way down.
2. Remove the window regulator handle. Refer to Door Window Regulator Handle Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement Door Trim Panel Replacement.
4. Remove the water deflector at the bottom by peeling the water deflector back.
5. Remove the inner mounting panel screws.
6. Remove the door lock rods from the inner mounting panel.
7. Tape the door lock rods to the door.
8. Remove the lower run channel bolt.
1. Loosen the upper run channel bolt.
2. Move the run channel away from the glass.
9. Remove the inner mounting panel and window assembly from the door frame by tilting the assembly and lowering the assembly from the door.
10. Remove the glass from the channel by folding back the tab on the channel and sliding the glass out.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Install the glass into the channel by folding the tab on the channel up.
2. Install the inner mounting panel and glass assembly into the bottom of the door.
1. First fit the glass into the rear channel in the door.
2. Fit the glass into the front run channel while pulling the channel toward the glass.
3. Install the front run channel bolt.
4. Install the lock rods to the inner mounting panel.
5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement Door Water Deflector Replacement.
6. Install the inner mounting panel to door screws.
7. Install the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement Door Trim Panel Replacement.
