A/C Mode-Auxiliary
The purpose of the optional auxiliary A/C is to supply cool air and reduce the humidity to the vehicle's rear interior. The vehicle operator or passengers can determine the level of cool air in the rear of the vehicle by turning the temperature control on either the front or rear auxiliary HVAC control assemblies. When the temperature knob is turned, a signal is sent from either the front auxiliary HVAC control assembly on the air temperature door position signal circuit or the rear auxiliary HVAC control assembly on the passenger air temperature valve position sensor signal circuit. These signals are received by the rear auxiliary HVAC control processor and sent to the auxiliary air temperature activator through the passenger air temperature valve motor supply voltage circuit. When the control logic receives the signal, the auxiliary air temperature actuator moves into the desired position. The left instrument panel fuse block provides power to the auxiliary air temperature actuator through the ignition 3 voltage circuit, right instrument panel junction block and the auxiliary blower motor resistor assembly. Ground is provided by the ground circuits and a splice pack.
A 5-volt reference signal is sent out over the passenger air temperature valve motor supply voltage circuit to the auxiliary air temperature actuator. When a desired temperature setting is selected, a 5-volt reference signal is sent from the rear auxiliary HVAC control processor to the auxiliary air temperature actuator. The motor moves the auxiliary air temperature actuator to the desired position. Five volts will be measured at the rear temperature door when maximum cool is requested. Ground for the auxiliary air temperature actuator is provided by the ground circuits and a splice pack.
