Air Intake Pipe Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield using the following procedure:
1.1. Remove the retaining bolt in the front of the shield.
1.2. Lift up on the front of the shield.
1.3. Lift the shield off the rear bracket.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.




3. Remove the 3 bolts connecting the air intake pipe to the turbocharger.
4. Remove the air intake pipe (1) from the turbocharger (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Clean the mating surfaces on the air intake pipe (1) and the turbocharger (3).
2. Install the air intake pipe on the turbocharger.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the 3 air intake pipe mounting bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the air intake pipe bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield.

Tighten
Tighten the upper intake manifold sight shield bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
