Liftgate Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the liftgate window.
2. Open the liftgate.
3. Support the liftgate.
4. Remove the roof rear header garnish molding.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as needed.
6. Disconnect the liftgate window washer fluid hose.
7. Remove the liftgate struts.
8. Remove the clips that retain the liftgate to the hinges.
9. With an assistant, slide the liftgate to the right in order to remove the liftgate from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. With an assistant, install the liftgate by sliding the liftgate hinge ears to the left to rest on the pins.




2. Install the hinge pins.
3. Install the hinge pin retaining clips.
4. Install the liftgate struts.
5. Connect the washer fluid hose.
6. Connect the electrical connectors, as needed.
7. Install the roof rear header garnish molding.
8. Install the liftgate window.
