Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the right tire assembly.
3. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the CMP sensor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
Tighten
Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 8-10 N.m (71-89 lb in).
2. Install the CMP sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the right tire assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.
