General Information

The purpose of the optional auxiliary heater is to supply heat to the vehicle's rear interior. The vehicle operator can determine the level of warm air in the rear of the vehicle by turning the air temperature switch, located on the heater auxiliary blower motor switch, to either the OFF, Low, Med, or High setting. The heater auxiliary blower motor switch is a double pole, rotary, four position switch. The temperature control can change the vehicle's rear air temperature regardless of any HVAC control assembly or heater auxiliary blower motor setting

Power is provided to the heater auxiliary blower motor switch by the auxiliary HVAC switch supply voltage circuit. The auxiliary coolant bypass valve solenoid provides a pathway to ground for the heater auxiliary blower motor switch through the heater water control solenoid control circuit.
